Opinions are divided when it comes to new issues. On the one hand, it is anything but good for the capital market that so few new companies go public. On the other hand, many IPOs (Initial Public Offerings) have recently resulted in high losses for investors, so that the abbreviation IPO is sometimes translated as ‘It's Probably Overpriced’ in the financial scene.

Autodoc's listing did not work out at the second attempt either. One day before the planned listing in the Prime Standard on 25 June 2025, the online spare parts retailer has postponed its stock market ambitions. This makes the billion-euro IPO of the software-centred medtech company Brainlab the next new issue. The IPO of Continental's automotive division Aumovio is planned for September 2025. This was announced by the DAX-listed company at the Capital Markets Day at the end of June 2025.
